Our friend Joey married his crafty sweetheart Meg, and we were invited to capture their day! We trekked across the States with our friend Seth in tow, from Des Moines to Lexington, VA where Joey was first commissioning into the Navy and graduating with honors from Virginia Military Institute all just days before the wedding. It was quite the week! Lexington, VA is seated in the Shenandoah Valley in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It made for a stunning driving backdrop for a good part of our trip. We then headed to their wedding in Washington, DC where we were blessed to visit and stay with another friend, and then to Upper Marlboro, MD for the newlyweds beautiful reception.
